The Heeling Canine is made up of a group of individuals who all share the same ideology of dog behavior. Our team is made up of trainers who have a very diverse background with dogs. Some are K9 handlers, others have worked in the grooming industry, and some solely have worked with dog training solely. This knowledge and expertise helps us offer our services to a variety of dogs. Together we have over 15 years of experience. As a company, we strive to identify and fix the root of the problem with your dog, not just slap on a tool to cover the behavior up. We believe that longer programs with a more detailed approach, feed long lasting results.
We train with a balanced approach in mind, meaning we don’t have a one method fits all here. Every dog and dog team learns differently and at different paces. We are huge believers in reward based training and making it a positive experience for you and your dog,. With that being said, we also believe in fixing the negative behaviors also, and not ignoring or encouraging them. Rather, we correct them, within reason and fairly based upon your dog. We have great success with our training methods and it helps create a clear communication system between you and your dog, so that way neither of you is left confused.
